Welcome to Nubuke Foundation!
The Nubuke Foundation offers a wide range of visual art and cultural programmes in the city of Accra.
Located in leafy suburb of East Legon, the Foundation has 2 galleries- One for exhibitions usually on historical or cultural topics and the other is a visual art gallery.
Other programmes that take place regularly are monthly poetry and spoken word programmes by the Ehalakasa group and mini drama productions by Accra Theatre Workshop.
The café provides simple, light and tasty foods complemented by fruit drinks and seasonal dishes.
The only retail shop of fashion designer, Ohema Ohene is now situated at Nubuke Foundation
With grounds bordered by a palm plantation, it is excellent for bird watching, a haven and serene oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet only a few minutes away from the Lagos Avenue for shopping and commercial activities.
Exhibition services include curatorial advice, hanging and display services, cataloguing and access to our email list for invitations.
The Foundation’s main mission is to preserve, record and promote the visual art and culture of Ghana.
We have several exhibitions, talks, mini-publications, discussions and collaborative projects with artists and cultural producers.
There are opportunities for professional development of the young creative people in Ghana.
Drop in for a chat to find out the diverse ways in which we can assist.
Our library has a wide range of reading material- books and publications for artists and for the younger readers we hold reading sessions. The Gift Shop is now relocated inside the Nu Gallery.
