The Ghana-EU Business Forum aims primarily at presenting to Ghanaian and European entrepreneurs the broad portfolio of Guarantees available to investors and promoters and offered by the main national financial institutions in the EU and international development banks, upon a financial support by the European Union under the EU External Investment Plan (EIP).

The objective of those guarantees is to attract financing for equity, and to cope with some of the recurrent risks in Sub-Saharan Africa markets so to leverage private capital and decrease its inherent cost.

Sustainable energy and sustainable connectivity;

The EIP focuses on a number of priority areas, among which the following have been selected as particularly relevant for the Ghanaian business context:
- Micro, small and medium enterprises financing; and
- Sustainable agriculture, rural entrepreneurs and agroindustry.

The Forum will also offer the possibility to:
- interact with representatives of International and Local Financial Institutions, Business Associations, and Regulators and to
- identify new business and financing opportunities

Such approach is in line with Government of Ghana’s agenda of boosting private sector investment, creation of decent and sustainable jobs, and promoting the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda. Therefore a few  programs conceived to boost private investment in Ghana will be also presented to share your experiences on doing Business in Ghana and voice your expectations for reforms and incentive.
